BIOGRAPHY:
Kimberly Corrina Raver was born on March 15, 1969 in New York City to
her German mother, Tina Raver. Growing up, alongside her sister Cybele,
Kim learned and became fluent in German, thanks to the teachings of her
mother.
After she and her sister were spotted by a casting agent while
shopping in a department store, Kim became a regular on the children’s
television series “Sesame Street” at the tender age of six years old.
She remained with the show until the age of nine.
From “Sesame Street” Kim headed off to join off-Broadway’s first
all children’s theatre. Kim later attended Boston University, School
for the Arts and received her BFA (1991).
Soon after graduating, Kim had her first break in television, appearing in national commercials for Visa and Jeep.
The Broadway production “Holiday”, is credited with being Kim’s
big break. The production, which ran from 1995-1996, starred Laura
Linney and Tony Goldwyn and received critical raves on Kim’s appearance
in the show.
Kim’s career began to flourish after she finished her work in
“Holiday”. She guest starred in such shows as “Law and Order”, “The
Practice”, “Central Park West”and “Spin City”. Soon after these guest
appearances, Kim landed the role of Clarissa McCallister in the
television series "Trinity". Though the show was short lived, Kim was
remembered in her role, which opened the door for her next big break.
Kim was asked to join the Warner Bros. television show of "Third
Watch", which became a critically acclaimed drama on NBC. Kim played
Kim Zambrano, a single mother and New York City paramedic on the
demanding 3PM-11PM shift. Kim stayed with the show until the beginning
of it's final season in 2004.
Kim didn't stay still for long. During a vacation in the South
of France, Kim received a frantic message from her manager that she was
needed in Los Angeles right away to audition for the hit FOX television
show "24", starring Kiefer Sutherland. Kim made a mad dash to Los
Angeles, and after her audition in front of the show's producers was
told "We've found our Audrey!". Kim has now completed two successful
seasons on the hit show.
Kim is now slated to join ABC's new Fall show, “The Nine”.
Although she maintains that New York will always be her home,
Kim currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, French filmaker
Manuel Boyer and their young son.
